I just love Fridays! I know that you do too. It’s a long weekend too because Monday is Martin Luther King Day and Ginny doesn’t have school. I think we will watch “Driving Miss Daisy” on Monday. We have the stage version on DVD starring Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. It’s SO good! I just love that play and I love how Miss Daisy stood up for Hoke and her respect of Martin Luther King.
I won’t get any stamping done this weekend because I am still in Kansas but not to worry. I prepared the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge sketch for you before I left town.
Today’s challenge is a really fun layout but I know it’s going to make a great card.
- The colors mean nothing….get creative
- The strips can be banners, ribbon, Designer Paper or a stamped border
- The circles can be just about anything you can dream of
- The sentiment can go anywhere
Sometimes we all need a little boost to get our creative juices flowing. That’s what the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge is all about… a place to start and let your creativity go from there.
So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with this layout, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls. Our group of ‘wild’ stampers is now over 2,800 members! We’re having a great time on this page so join us!

Here’s what I designed for this weekend’s challenge…
I’ve said it before, masculine cards are hard. This card came together so quickly using the Stamp a Bag stamp set. Those dots were so fun to stamp! I found the sentiment in Words of Truth. The quirky sentiment fit well with my quirky card.

I flipped the sketch upside down for this card. I had the Grateful Bunch Bundle sitting on my desk when I started my Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge cards so I thought to myself, use that!
I have a little bag full of punches circles in all the Stampin’ Up colors. I threw the circles on my desk to this was the color combo that fell together – Rose Red, So Saffron and Mint Macaron. I love how the card turned out!

If you’re around on Sunday, I have something fun planned for you. I am joining a blog hop with a dear friend of mine, Kylie Bertucci, a Stampin’ Up demonstrator from the Australia . She has asked me to be a guest designer on her Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop. The Hop will go live at 1am my time (central) but in Australia that is 6pm. Don’t worry. It’s not going anywhere. You don’t need to set your alarms for 1am. I hope you enjoy it! I will be driving home on Sunday so I will have to wait until Monday to check out all the creations but I can’t wait to see with others have dreamed up.
Have a wonderful weekend my sweet friends! See you soon!
