Well, it’s going to be another rainy weekend here in Oklahoma.  No camping for us but that’s okay.  We have a busy weekend ahead of us BUT not too busy for some stamping!

Here’s what I created for this weekend’s challenge…..

My first card is so creative.  I’m quite proud of it.  I used the English Garden Designer Series Paper, burlap ribbon, and A Dozen Thoughts stamp set, all of which are retiring at the end of the month.

What I love about this card is that I used one piece of Designer Series Paper and got a feminine card…

…but when you flip the Designer Series Paper over, you get a masculine card!  Same card, same piece of Designer Series Paper but depending on the side you use will determine who you would send it to.  Pretty nifty, huh?

You guys know how much I love pink and black!  This is such a vibrant card!  This one uses another retiring stamp set, Another Thank You.  If you have been receiving my thank you cards with your orders, you probably recognize the stamp.  I use it all the time!  I love the font and that sweet little swirl in the “You”.

The Bow Builder punch is just perfect on this card.  The Black satin stitched ribbon is so shiny and really makes the bow extra special.

So what are your plans this weekend?  I’m going to play with some of the BRAND NEW goodies I got from the upcoming Stampin’ Up catalog.  One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that we get to order some of the new catalog stamps and stampin’ toys early.  My order came when I was out of town and I am DYING to play!  Hey, if it’s gonna rain, might as well stamp!

Sunday, Christina, Ginny, and I are going to audition for another show.  A musical.  Oh heaven help me.  Singing isn’t my strong point but the girls say I’m good but they’re my girls, they have to say nice things like that.  lol  The show is “9 to 5: The Musical”.  I’m sure you know the movie and the musical is SO much fun.  It would be great to do a show like this.  We shall see. I won’t know for a while if I made the cut so I am not stressing over it too much and besides, rehearsal don’t start until late July so there’s PLENTY of time.  I had such a great time with “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and it would be nice to do a comedy after that heavy show.  Like I said, I’ll just ride the wave and see where it goes.
