What a wild week it’s been for me! The play, friends in town visiting, plus preparing for a huge remodeling project, I really needed some stamping time for myself. I thought this week’s sketch was kinda cool!
- The colors mean nothing….get creative
- The layers can be Designer Paper, cardstock, or a stamped image
- The sentiment can go anywhere you’d like

Here’s what I designed for this weekend’s challenge…
I just got the Number of Years Bundle (page 10-11 of the Occasions catalog) and it was out on my desk when I started to work on the challenge for this weekend. Well, if it’s already out, why not use it?
I knew I wanted to incorporate some glimmer paper in the challenge too. Pool Party and Silver Glimmer paper….so pretty! Before I adhered the glimmer paper I thought I would use the banner framelit on it. You know I HATE to waste glimmer paper and since it would be hidden anyway, why not?
I chose to layer the card base on a piece of Smoky Slate just for a little more color. It’s much prettier in person. It’s hard to photograph glimmer paper.
I think this card is my favorite though.
I have had the Going Global stamp set (page 39 of the Occasions catalog) for a little while and I really needed to get it inked! I just stamped a few images on the Delightful Dijon card base in Versamark ink for a tone-on-tone look.
SO glad I bought the matching Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack with it though. That paper is fantastic! I love the 6″ x 6″ size too. This card was made with just one piece (stars on one side, map on the other)
Just a little Gold Metallic Thread behind the sentiment and my card was done. Don’t you love it?
Well, now it’s YOUR turn to create! Just take the Stampin’ Girls Gone Wild Weekend Challenge and post YOUR creation on our Facebook page! Hope you’ll play along!
really like your cards, and ideas, videos, etc. Thanks for sharing all you do.
