Birthday Candy Jar WOW Cards

It’s the glossy cardstock and the sponging that makes this the WOW card. You can fussy cut the candy jar or use the Jar of Sweets Framelits. Did you see in the video all the Framelits? Wow, they are so cool. The catalog photo just didn’t do the Framelits justice. You really needed to see them in action.

Glass Candy Jar HOLY COW Sweet Birthday Cards

Holy Cow is right! I loved the little flaps but let’s face it…. it was the glass candy jar that made the card a HOLY COW! Window Sheets and StazOn go together like… well, gummy bears and my belly! This card is a little more detailed but let’s face it, there are SOME people who deserves an over-the-top Holy Cow birthday card. Do you have special someone who deserves this card? I have all the details on what you need to make it.

Stampin Up Sweetest Thing Suite Card Images and Samples

I haven’t had much to report lately. Not much going on in the Stewart household lately, I guess….unless you wanted to hear about laundry and grocery shopping. Well, something exciting did happen over the weekend and I thought I would share it with you.

Christina, Ginny, and I auditioned for a hilarious show called “Noises Off” at our community theatre. I haven’t done a show in a year and this show was the only one this year that had a part for a woman my age. Well, not only did I get cast as Dotty/Mrs. Clackett BUT Christina was cast as Brooke/Vicki AND Ginny was cast as Poppy!!! Oh, wait, there’s more! Christina’s boyfriend, Matt, was cast as Garry/Roger. There are a few other friends of ours who were cast so we are just beyond happy with those we will be working with. You may be wondering why two names. Well, this is a show within a show. The play starts out at the final dress rehearsal of a show called “Nothing On” and as many final dress rehearsal go, nothing is going right. Act 2 gets CRAZY. The entire set will be turned around so that the audience is seeing the antics backstage… in silence, because the show is performing out front. The only problem is the entire cast is mad at each other so they are doing all they can to ruin their cast mates performance. It’s crazy insanity and absolutely hilarious. Act 3, the show has been on the road and the cast has given up and they aren’t even on script any longer.

Playing Dotty/Mrs. Clackett has been a dream role of mine since 1992, when I saw the movie, starring Carol Burnett. I have idolized her comedy style since I was a little kid and this is a role I have wanted to tackle. Christina’s character, Brooke/Vicki, steals the show with her bad acting. Ginny plays Poppy, the stage manager, who gets blamed for everything. It’s a very physical show and precisely choreographed. It’s a farce so everything has to move at just the right time. I hope I’m ready for this.

It’s a small cast of 8 and I love these smaller cast shows. It becomes more like a family, I guess. Rehearsal start a week from today. Poor Ginny is just 5 days away from opening “Beauty & the Beast” at her high school (she’s playing ‘Belle‘) so she will be going from one show right into another but hey, she’s young, it’s a lot easier for her.

Oh, let me share Mr. Awesome’s response to all of this. He couldn’t be happier! One, because he knows how much we love to do shows together, and two, he can catch up on all those TV shows that I don’t like (Game of Thrones comes to mind). He kind of enjoys 6 weeks of quiet time to himself.

So… there you go. That is what’s what in the Stewart house. Let the insanity begin!
