It’s been awhile since I shared a “What Would Connie Do?” post. This is my opportunity to answer questions that you guys have asked and share my thoughts and ideas with you. You guys have been asking some GREAT questions too!
QUESTION: Joann asked…
Hi Connie, I have a question about using my bonus days coupons. I have 4 to use, can I use them all at once, or only one per order?
QUESTION: Barb asked…
Could you please show how you do the embossing and how you cut the flower please? Some of us are new and don’t exactly know how to use and don’t have the big shot yet.
ANSWER: First let me say, WELCOME to the fabulous world of paper crafting! You are going to love your new hobby. I realize that in my videos I don’t always show the Big Shot being used. I do that to keep my videos shorter BUT I have been thinking about doing a beginners series sharing the basics of stamping. I will start work on that because I know there are more of you who are new to stamping and would benefit from it. Stay tuned!
I also had some great question come in regarding the Aqua Painters I would like to answer.
QUESTION: Karen asked…
Does it matter which strength the alcohol is…70% or 90%?
ANSWER: No, it really doesn’t. Whichever you have on hand is wonderful! My bottle is expired and no longer good for medicinal use so it’s great to keep in my stamp room.
QUESTION: Kate asked…
Do you empty the alcohol out of the aqua painter after each use?
ANSWER: Nope, there is no reason to. Just cap the brush and you’re good to go. I always recommend that you store your Aqua Painters brush side up though.
QUESTION: Kay asked…
Have you done a tip on how to fill an Aqua Painter with alcohol without spilling the alcohol all over? I sure need help with that.
ANSWER: It sure does make a mess, doesn’t it? Here is what I use. It’s a medicine dropper. I used this for my kids when they were little but now that they are grown-up, this little beauty is great to use in my stamp room. Just fill with alcohol and it will drop it nice and neat into the Aqua Painter. I have to admit the other way I fill my Aqua Painter when I am too lazy to find the dropper. I just pour it over my trash can. I know, it’s messy but rubbing alcohol dries so fast that I don’t have to worry about it making a wet mess in my trash can.
