I had such a great time making this! I used the new Serif alphabet dies from the Holiday Mini catalog and I cut them out with a recycled cereal box. I cut the letters again from Designer Paper and used SU Glue Stick ( the greatest glue stick known to man) to adhere it down. What’s so cool about making your own chipboard letters is there is NO sanding the paper! Wahoooo!

The board is a MDF board (3/4″) that my dear hubby cut for me (didn’t he make it look pretty?) My first plan was to paint it white and add Designer Paper to the front. Well, the panel is 15″ long and the seam was showing and I HATED that so I decided to paint it brown. Well, that didn’t look very nice either, so I lightly sanded it to give it a weathered look and that I was pleased with. 🙂 I used Tombow Multi glue to adhere the letters down. Then I got a SCATHINGLY BRILLIANT IDEA and stamped on the board with Chocolate Chip Craft ink. I added a few little embellishments for fun.

This is one of those projects that can be made SO quickly (and very inexpensive). If you have a husband with a table saw, you can buy 3/4″ MDF board for $20. It would get you probably 30 of these boards… maybe more! I am thinking of doing a LONG board like this and put WINE TASTING on it and make it very old Italian. Or, how about Reds and Greens and put BELIEVE. Or FAITH, FAMILY, TRICK OR TREAT, AUTUMN, SPRING, HOME, CREATE, WELCOME, PRINCESS, BLESSED, SMILE, LOVE U, SISTERS, DREAM, etc. Should I stop now?
