Recently I had a viewer ask me how I know which bottle of Ink Refill is what. When they are all lined up or sitting nicely in a box, all you see is that pretty white cap and that’s it.
Today let me share my simple tip on creating color marks for your Ink Refills.

It doesn’t take much to mark your Ink Refills. To order the hole punch or Crystal Effects, just click a pic!
Well my friends, that’s all for today! Gotta get laundry done and packed for my EARLY flight tomorrow. Oh I hate those. I never sleep for fear I won’t hear my alarm and miss my flight. How do you store your ink refills?
The Color Caddy holds my ink pads and my refills so they are always at my fingertips. A inky ink pad is a happy ink pad so I like to have my reinkers close by.
I’ve been doing the same, only using a glue dot instead of crystal effects to stick the dots to the caps, perfect fit! Love your tips, projects and humor.
Great idea! Been buying SU for 20 years, always irritated when trying to figure out what color is in there. Have to pick up each bottle.
I did this a America thing about a year ago. Love it, it is such a time saver. You see it right away. Thanks for all your wonderful tips. You are a life saver. Your Honolulu friend!
Great tip, thanks. I do something similar. If I don’t have the right color paper on hand I just smear some of the ink on a scrap of card stock, let it dry then punch it out and glue it to the top of the bottle. I haven’t figured how to mark my few rogue( non-SU) inks with round tops 🙂
I used the Tombo green glue but forgot about the silicone mat That would have been a help as well as turning it up side down to get the dot to adhere. Crystal Effects is wonderful and better than dimensionals to adhere cardstock to glimmer paper. It will not come off like dimensionals sometimes do with the glittery paper.
Connie I love your tips and videos. I punch a circle from one of the “foreign language” labels that are on the ink pads – it already has the adhesive on it and the labels are “plastic” and stay bright and shiny.
Hi Connie, I have done this too when I first get my refills, it really helps to chose the write colour at a glance, Cheers Anna.
Neat tip! Now, here’s my question. I recently purchased the ink pad tower. How do you get your refills to stay put in the tray on top?
I don’t have any issues but mine are totally full. You might try putting an embellishment container inside to help fill some space.
