2-Minute Tuesday Tips by Connie Stewart - www.SimplySimpleStamping.com

Today’s tip is on how to curl Bakers Twine. I picked up this tip last month at the Stampin’ Up OnStage conference but I have to be honest. I couldn’t remember HOW they showed us to do it so I played around until I found a way that worked.

My example is on this card.  I didn’t want the balloon tail to be straight, I wanted it to give the card some character so I gently curled the twine. 2-Minute Tuesday Tip Video - Curling Bakers Twine - check out the video at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com and look for the May 10, 2016 blog post

Let me share with you how you can do this…

I hope that you liked that tip!  Not one that you will use all the time but when you need it, you’ll be glad you know it.  Oh, and I forgot to mention this tip works great and I mean GREAT on the regular bakers twine too!  It curls really tight.

I have had a lot of emails and messages asking if we’re okay.  You may have heard about the 19 tornados that hit Oklahoma yesterday.  Most of them never touched down but a few did.  None of them where near Oklahoma City/Moore.  We did, however, watch one of them forming.  Not gonna lie… it was awesome to watch.  It would slowly start to spiral down and POOF it was back up.  It really was quite fascinating.  Well, it’s fascinating when you know it’s moving AWAY from you and not towards you.  The one we were watching never did touch down so that was good.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and concerns!  I love you guys!  I hope you know that!  Tornado season is here and we just learn to keep our eye on the weather.  We typically know days in advance if it’s going to be a possible tornado day.  When you live in Oklahoma, we have learned to just accept it and stay safe.

While all that crazy weather was going on elsewhere, it was bright and sunny here so I went out on my first bike ride.  Okay, so let me just say, there will be no pictures of me on the bike.  Bike shorts only look good on someone who is a Size 6…. in case you’re wondering, I am not.  lol  But I am proud to say that I rode for 5.5 miles.  Not bad for my first day out!  I have a real motivation to stick with it.  We are going on the Stampin’ Up incentive trip soon – a Mediterranean cruise.  One of the excursions we booked was a bike ride through Naples, Italy.  It’s a low impact ride, about 8 miles, and I want to be able to do it.  When else will I say I pedaled my way through Naples?  I will reward myself with pizza (which originated in Naples)

Well my friends, that wraps it up for me today.  I am going to get busy working on some swap cards I am taking with me on the Cruise.  Stampin’ Up hosts a swap for us and it’s always a highlight for me to see all those fabulous swaps from demonstrators from all over the world!  I will share my swap card with you Thursday. I thought I would do a video on it for you.  Have a great Tuesday and I will see you tomorrow!
