Last week I started a little mini series on fun ways to use Stampin’ Up’s cardstock vellum. Did you catch that? “Cardstock” vellum. This isn’t that flimsy vellum you may have used in the past. Because of its heavier weight, it has so many more possibilities.
Let me share today’s tip on how to create a vellum card cover like this one.
Here are my measurements in case you missed them:
- Cardstock Vellum – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
- Blushing Bride cardstock – 8 ¼” x 5 ¼”, score and fold at 4 ⅛”

If you are a Law & Order: SVU fan, you know that we are kindred spirits. This is my favorite TV show. If there is a Law & Order: SVU marathon on, forget it. I am on the couch for the rest of the day.
One of our local channels airs L&O on Monday nights. Last night was a repeat of my favorite episode ever. If you are fan like me, when I say, “The Stuckey Episode”, do you know which one I mean? Of course you do! BEST PLOT TWIST ever!
What’s sad is that the opening scene is a couple rollerblading and I scream, “It’s the Stuckey Episode!!!!” Mr. Awesome just looks at me like I’ve lost my mind. “How do you know that from 2 people rollerblading?” All I can say is…. it’s a gift.
Well, that’s it for me today. Join me tomorrow for a throw-back video to a wonderful shaker frame using the Endless Wishes stamp set. It’s always been a favorite of mine and this stamp set is going to retire at the end of May. I just had to share the video again because the project is just too cute.
Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday everyone!

Thanks for another fast card. I love the fact you can use the sponge and the Tombo on the vellum and it does not show! Love it!
It’s the best thing ever! Vellum has always been impossible to adhere….until now. 🙂
You always inspire and teach me. This 2 minute tip was excellent. One question, did you stamp on the pink cardstock or the vellum?
I stamped on the cardstock. 🙂
Thanks for asking this ? I was just going to ask and saw this post. You are the best, Connie. Love your videos. Linda
