Are you ready for a brand new video series? I am really excited about this new series because it’s all about fast cards. Who doesn’t need a card in a matter of minutes? We all do.
This series will focus on cards that are:
- Clean and simple
- Created with minimal supplies
- Uses up some of those scraps you have lying around
- Will take only minutes to create
Anyone else excited besides me???
My first card is a really pretty card that could serve so many occasions. BONUS – it’s a great masculine card too!
I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set for my focal image and Work of Art for my background.
The sentiment can be any sentiment you choose. I found this great “thank you” in One Big Meaning.
Let me share the first MAKE IT IN MINUTES video with you. It’s a beautiful card!
Here are the measurements for my card today:
- Elegant Eggplant card base – 4 ¼” x 11″, score and fold at 5 ½”
- Very Vanilla – (2) 4″ x 5 ¼”
- Scrap of Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze
- 10″ Linen Thread

I hope that you enjoyed the first installment of this new Make It in Minutes series. I’m really, really excited about what’s to come and I hope you are too!
We had QUITE a night last night. Mr. Awesome, Christina, and I went on a bike ride…. and the night didn’t end as planned. We got a later start than we had wanted and because the sun sets around 7pm, we knew that we had to turn around about 45 minutes into our ride….which we did. We hadn’t made it a mile into our return ride when Christina’s tire hit a rock, causing flat tire. No big deal right? Mr. Awesome always has his repair kit strapped to the back of his bike. Oh wait, no, he doesn’t. Not today. He left it at the house. Uh-oh. This is not good. We were at least 10 miles from the car and had only about 40 minutes of daylight left. We were on a bike trail so there was no getting a car to where we were. As luck would have it, there was a little lake and a park just off the trail so Christina and I stayed there and waited for Rich to get the truck and come rescue us. Had this happened anywhere else on the trail, we would have been in trouble with a capital T. I don’t think Rich has EVER pedaled as fast as he did last night. Poor guy. He was worn out by the time he got to us but he was my knight in shining armor! Today, he ordered TWO repair kits so that Christina and I have them on our bikes from now on. We don’t want that to ever happen again.

Love your new series. This is going to be so helpful. Three flowers would work on this card also.
This new series is a great idea and I love this first card sample! So glad you got home safely from biking. And what a great reminder for us that we need to make sure that tire repair kit is on the bike before we go!!
I love the new series – the simpler the better – and you make it look elegant at the same time. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
I’m glad you made it home safely. Many of the bike trails around here are also used by wildlife. Yikes! Wouldn’t want to be stranded after dark.
