CREATIVE JUICE Sketch – Week #33

Who needs a little inspiration? Don’t we all need a little help from time to time? For me, it seems I need some Creative Juice when I have a stamp set that is perfect for the occasions but I have no idea what I want to do with it. Anyone else?

Each week I serve up a big glass of CREATIVE JUICE to get your creative juices flowing.  Let me share this week’s card inspiration.

• Get creative with your color combinations
• Those polka dots could be a stamped images, punched flowers, or Designer Paper

Here is what I came up with for today’s CREATIVE JUICE sketch…

The Lemon Zest stamp set was laying on my desk already so when I saw the circles on today’s sketch, I thought of oranges, lemons, and limes.

I added a touch of Designer Paper on the right side and the stripes brightened things up so nicely. I need to use stripes more.

Here are the measurements and the supplies I used for my LIVE IT WITH ZEST card but remember, these measurements are not set in stone.  Get creative with your measurements!

• Bermuda Bay – 11″ x 4 ¼”, score and fold at 5 ½”
• Melon Mambo – 2 ¾” x 3 ½” 
• Whisper White – 2 ½” x 3 ¼” plus 2″ x 5 ½” 
• Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper – 1 ¾” x 5 ½”

School started for Ginny yesterday. She was SO excited to get back to school to see her “special friends”.  Over the summer, Ginny has worked on their next Special Olympics musical, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas“. She worked on the script, the music, and thinking about costumes and casting.

Ginny started this program a year ago, working along side her choir teacher, who also has a huge heart for these special kids. Well, the Moore Public Schools took notice. The administration bragged about this program to the other schools and encouraged the other two high schools to consider a program like the one Ginny started. So proud of Ginny and her big heart and love for her special friends. 

Well, it’s another camping weekend for the Stewarts!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Take some time to relax and enjoy! There’s not much summer left.
