CREATIVE JUICE Sketch – Week #35
Today’s card turned out amazing! I am so thrilled with the final result. I needed a masculine birthday card for Mr. Awesome. His birthday is next month and he deserves a really special card. Yes, this card has more layers and details that I typically do but hey, my man is worth it!
Each week I serve up a big glass of CREATIVE JUICE to get your creative juices flowing. Let me share this week’s card inspiration.
- Get creative with your color combinations.
- The doily could be a die cut, Designer Paper or punched image.

Ooh, gold embossing makes SUCH a statement! And the gold foil in the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper makes it pop even more.
After my 2-Minute Tuesday Tip video on creating faux metal buttons (CLICK HERE to see the video if you missed it), I thought this card needed a little faux metal.
- Merry Merlot – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
- Night of Navy – 1 ¾” x 5 ½” and 1 ½” x 3 ¼”
- Broadway Bound Designer Paper – ¾” x 5 ½”
- Gold Foil – 1 ⅝” x 3 ⅜” (punch the button, balloon, and string from the center)
- Very Vanilla – 1 ¼” x 3″ and 3 ¾” x 5″
