Yesterday I shared with you the Large Number Framelits and how sad I am to see them on the Retirement List.  As I got ready to work on today’s CREATIVE JUICE sketch for Week #21, I realized that I needed a graduation card for Ginny’s friend, Alyvia.  I knew immediately that the Number Framelits and today’s sketch were going to be perfect for a graduation card.Pour yourself a big glass of Creative Juice with these simple layouts to get your creating cards quickly! www.SimplySimpleStamping.com

  • Get creative with your color combinations.
  • The stripes could be a stamped boarder, a strip of Designer Paper or embossed cardstock.

You can print out the sketches each week OR you can save them to your computer. By doing this you will have sketch ideas at your fingertips, whenever you need them.  Just click the pic to download or print it.  Remember, you can always find them here if you go to the ‘Categories’ (located on the right side bar) and click on Creative Juice.

Here is what I came up with for today’s CREATIVE JUICE sketch…

Every graduate deserves GLIMMER on their card.  The Gold Glimmer Paper just pops with the Night of Navy and Real Red.

I almost forgot to add the washi tape but I did add a little piece of Pick a Pattern washi tape on a tiny strip of white cardstock. It really needed that little bit too.

I also used the Seaside Embossing Folder to add some dimension to my Whisper White strip.

I have seen others create that little graduation hat so I thought I would give it a shot.  It turned out cute!

Here are the measurements and the supplies I used for my GRADUATION card but remember, these measurements are not set in stone.  Get creative with your measurements!

  • Night of Navy – 11″ x 4 ¼”, score and fold at 5 ½”
  • Real Red – 2 ½” x 4″ and (2) 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”
  • Whisper White – 2″ x 5 ⅜”
  • Gold Glimmer Paper – 2 ½” x 4″

Items in RED retire May 31st or while supplies last

Think back to when you were in grade school.  Remember the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL?  Oh, that was just the BEST day EVER, wasn’t it?  Well, today is that day in our house.  Today is the last day for Ginny as a Junior in high school.  YAY!  It hit me last night that she will be a Senior next year.  Wait!  What?  When did THIS happen???

Yep, at 3:30pm this afternoon, my routine as I know it will be over.  How many Moms can relate to this?

Even though school ends today, a busy weekend lies ahead of us.  Graduation is in the morning, a wedding shower for my niece in the afternoon, and then an “Oklahoma” cast reunion party that evening.  Oh wait, there’s more!  Christina’s graduation recognition at church Sunday morning and then her graduation party for the family Sunday night.  That is one packed weekend!  I doubt I will have much stamping time but not to worry!  I am ready for Monday’s Make It Monday tutorial!

I hope you found some inspiration in today’s sketch.  I had a lot of fun creating today’s card.  What will YOU come up with?  Head over to my Facebook page, Simply Simple Stamping, and leave a photo of your card under today’s post.  CLICK HERE to find my post today.
