I am having so much fun serving up a big ol’ serving of CREATIVE JUICE every Friday. You get not just one sketch idea, but four! The sketches are the same but laid out differently to help you see them at a different angle. Are you ready for Week #23?
Each week I serve up a big glass of CREATIVE JUICE to get your creative juices flowing. Let me share this week’s card inspiration.
- Get creative with your color combinations.
- Those polka dots could be a punched image or framelit, Designer Paper or even a stamped image.
You can print out the sketches each week OR you can save them to your computer. By doing this you will have sketch ideas at your fingertips, whenever you need them. Just click the pic to download or print it. Remember, you can always find them here if you go to the ‘Categories’ (located on the right side bar) and click on Creative Juice.
Here is what I came up with for today’s CREATIVE JUICE sketch…
So, how did I create those little punches on that square? I started with a 1″ x 8 ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock. I punched on end with the new Detailed Trio punch. Cut the square down to 1″, add a bit of Snail to the remaining strip of white cardstock and insert it back into the punch. Pretty nifty, right?
I love the new 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stacks. Nothing but polka dots and stripes! Yay!!! I love polka dots and stripes!
Here are the measurements for my HAPPY BIRTHDAY card but remember, these measurements are not set in stone. Get creative with your measurements!
- Whisper White Thick – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”, plus 1″ x 8 ½”
- ’18-’20 In-Color Designer Series Paper – 1 ¾” x 5 ½”
- Crumb Cake – 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”, plus 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”
- Grapefruit Gove – 2 ¼” x 2 ¼”, plus 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”
- Mint Macaron – ¾” x 5 ½”, plus 1 ¼” x 1 ¼”

Here in a hour or so, the Stewarts are heading to Texas. My niece is getting married tomorrow and we wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Unfortunately, we will have to leave as soon as the ceremony is over and head home so we can pack up and head to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Sunday morning. Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp starts Sunday night with a Tony Award party. I couldn’t let Ginny miss out on that.
It will be a busy and jam-packed weekend, that’s for sure! Lots of time on the road but hey, when you’re with family, that’s okay, right?!
I hope you all have a marvelous weekend. Take some time to be creative this weekend. Go back through the Creative Juice sketches that I have posted throughout the year. Just search the “Categories” for Creative Juice. Spend some creative time and clear the past week out of your brain. It’s good for you
See you all back here on Monday for a new Make It Monday Tutorial featuring the Varied Vases stamp set.
