I am so happy to share another FLASH CARD video with you!
Today’s FLASH CARD is very “circle happy”. I used the Layering Circle Framelits and I think I used 6 of them to create this card.
I also used my new Bella & Friends stamp set because what’s not to love about a puppy on a card?
Let me share today’s FLASH CARD video with you…

Here are the measurements for my card today:
- Basic Black card base – 11″ x 4 ¼”, score and fold at 5 ½”
- Real Red Flash Card – 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”
- Whisper White Flash Card – 2 ½” x 4″ – (2) of these if you want to add one to the inside

Had a little “oops” in the video and called the stamp set the wrong name. The “Hello” is from the Oh Happy Day card kit.

Today’s Flash Card is dedicated to my little dog Roxie (aka Roxie the Naughty Puppy). Yesterday we had to put Roxie in “The Cone of Shame”. She had a hot spot on the top of her head that she scratched until it was…. well, it was just gross. I couldn’t get her to stop scratching at it and there is only one solution. It’s not a happy solution either.
Is this most pathetic puppy you’ve ever seen? She’s miserable, poor thing. I hate that I have to keep this on her but the good news is that when I looked at her head this morning, the spot is already healing. Hopefully just a few more days and we can take it off. Bless her heart, she walks sideways with this thing on and she runs into the walls. Not sure who invented this Cone but I sure which they had something a little more “puppy friendly”.

Poor Roxie! But fur-babies need to be disciplined for their own good too! Did you put a dab of Neosporin on the sore? That may help it heal better too!
Thanks Cheryl! I have some calming gel that the vet gave me. I think I might alternate with neosproin though. ‘Appreciate the tip!
Love it! The surprise of opening the card with the puppy inside is great and I like how you added the third flash card so you’d have a place to write a message. Really good use of the circles!!
Yeah, I felt bad “cheating” on the Flash Card idea of just the 2 pieces but hey, the idea is that you have what you need ready to go. I always keep LOTS of white and vanilla pieces on hand.
Cute card today, Connie. I love all the circle dies, which make it so easy to get several circles fast. Your video was easy to follow with great directions. TFS
Thanks! Yeah, these new layering circle framelits are fabulous and I LOVE the scallops.
Love your humor and videos! Suggestion for the framellits: I number the sizes with a sharpie, the center one as the smallest would be #1 etc. The bigger the number, the bigger the framelit. Since there are two sets of circles, I guess it would be L1 (for large set , #1 smallest circle.). This helps my students & me when teaching and trying to remember which framelit to use.
I thought about that but the dies are SO thin. Hmm, gonna try it though! Thanks!
Love this cute card. And have you tried Aloe Vera on the hot spot? My cat had one and it’s never returned. BUT, keep the cone on till gone. Poor baby.
I have a calming gel that the vet gave me and it seems to be working. Hmm, aloe vera would have been a lot cheaper. Will try that next time for sure. My other dog gets hot spots all the time but he licks them. Will have to give Aloe a try. Thanks for the tip!
Love this card!
Love this card and sweet, little Roxie! I have a option to suggest for a better cone. It is called “Comfy Cone”. Go to Amazon and search for comfy cone. We use it when Mandi won’t stop licking her paw. She doesn’t love it but at least when she bumps into a door jam, it doesn’t knock her back 3 feet.
Thanks! I’ll check it out. I am hoping we can take it off by the end of the weekend but if she starts scratching again, I would love something a little more comfortable for her.
