My mom called me earlier this week and says to me, “I think you need to do a Flash Card video for a wedding card that can also hold a gift card…. and if you could do it by Saturday that would be great because I need a card for a wedding this weekend.” I love my Mom! She’s so subtle! lol Seriously though, we have quite the barter system going on. I make her cards and she does the sewing for us. It’s a pretty sweet deal because I can’t sew worth a darn.
Today’s card is just for Mom. Was it fast? Oh yeah! Is it pretty? Oh yeah! Sometimes clean and simple are the best ways to go.

Ahh, the weekend…. what are your big plans this weekend? We will be finishing painting the cabinets in the laundry room. I PROMISE this project WILL get done but it turned into a bigger job than what we though. The up-side is that is will be wonderful when it’s done. It’s just so darn HOT and I feel so bad for Mr. Awesome out in the garage working. Poor guy, sweat was just pouring off his head and then landing on the paint. That’s not a good thing. I think I will recommend we bring the table of cabinet doors into the office so he can work in the A/C. It’s been over 100° F here and high humidity on top of that.
We do have a fun night planned for tonight though. Christina turned 21 on Monday so we are taking her out for her first “grown-up” night to a dueling piano bar here in town. Have you ever been to one of these places? The two piano players sing whatever songs you request and everyone in the joint sings at the top of their lungs. The classics are always a hit – Sweet Caroline, The Day the Music Died, Friends in Low Places. We’ve gone there with friends a few times and every time we come home with great memories. What’s not to love about a place like that? The best part of it? It’s smoke-free, otherwise I wouldn’t make it more than 20 minutes in there. She is bringing some friends along and I still don’t understand this part, but she WANTS her parents to come too. I won’t turn down and invite to the dueling piano bar so I am excited to go.
