Hello my stamping friends! I hope you have had a wonderful week this week. I had a little time to stamp yesterday and created a new MAKE IT IN MINUTES card for you. This card uses the Hold On to Hope bundle. I hope you have this bundle in your stash. It is absolutely stunning and a beautiful set to work with.
Let me share today’s video with you…
Any color combinations will work beautifully for this card. I am using some colors that will be retiring at the end of May — Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, and Soft Sky.
That little die cut flower just makes the card, don’t you think?
There is just something special about a card that is uplifting. I know of several friends I could send this too right now and I plan to do just that. I know this sweet card will brighten their day.
Here the measurements for my card in case you missed them:
- Pink Pirouette – 11″ x 4 ¼”, score at 5 ½”
- Chocolate Chip – 3 ⅜” x 4 ⅝”
- Whisper White – (2) 3 ¼” x 4 ½” and 3 ¾” x 5″ if you want cardstock on the inside
- Smoky Slate Gingam Ribbon – small knot

TEACHER STRIKE UPDATE: I thought I would give you all an update on the teacher’s strike that has been going on here in Oklahoma for the last 8 days. Well, it’s a sad day for our state. We got word last night that our school district threw in the towel and gave up. Not all the school districts but ours was the first. For the last 8 days over 35,000 teachers marched in front of our state capital and it seems it was for nothing. It was obvious that our legislators were waiting it out knowing school districts would eventually give up and they were right. I’m devastated over the news. I do want to clarify one thing… our TEACHERS didn’t give up, the districts did. Our teachers want to continue to fight for their students but let’s face it…. money talks. One House rep actually said, “The oil companies give us trinkets for our desks and take us out to lunch. What have you done for us?” Can you believe that nonsense? Yep, money talks. You know what else talks? VOTES. I hope this House rep enjoyed his little desk trinkets and can cherish those high end lunch dates because he’s seen the last of them.
My rant is done. Back to stamping! It’s great therapy you know and I am in NEED of some therapy.

Connie, thank you for your strong support of the teachers strike and your comments. I’m devastated that the teachers had to give in AGAIN. You are so right – the only way they can still be heard is by their vote and the vote of all those that support them. Hang in there.
Have a great opening night! I’m sure you will be fabulous!
I am so sorry to hear about your school district. Bottom line right now is the students need to be in school and your teachers are dedicated enough to be there for them. Make sure EVERYONE makes their votes count in the next election.
Break a leg Connie! Yes, votes matter! You are so right about that. Sorry to hear that your District caved. I confess that I’m getting ‘way too cynical about the truthfulness and integrity of so many of our elected officials. Thanks for your “rant,” too. Oh, BTW, this is a lovely card. That stamp set is on my desk – will CASE when I next get a chance to play.
My late husband was a teacher, my older daughter is a college Dean, my younger teaches at a private Christian school, and my family on all sides is loaded with those wonderful people as well. It hurts me so much to hear people (as some I worked with) say that teachers are only baby sitters. That’s why I vote as I do – nothing is too good for teachers and students.
Good eye! Yep, Jackie sent me a card similar to this one and it inspired me to create my own version of it.
