So, I thought I would share a little theatre update. Last night was the halfway mark of rehearsals for “Exit Laughing”….and I am STRESSING! I have the lead role and I think every other line is mine. Ugh. SO much to memorize. When I was young, I could memorize a script so easily….that’s not the case anymore. The hardest part of my lines is that what I say is very random. It’s not like a fellow actor says something that leads me into the next line so I really have to KNOW where the script goes next. I’m getting a little nervous. No, no, I’m getting a lot nervous. I know the lines will come but it sure is a lot of pressure. I am going to be driving to Kansas City next week for a Stampin’ Up conference so I will have 10 hours in the car that I can drill the lines in my head. I have them recorded on my phone so I can just listen to them…over and over. No regrets though! The cast is amazing, I’m having a GREAT time working with them, and the show is hilarious.
