Today’s Make It Monday uses a favorite stamp set of mine. I love the Orange Blossom stamp set and today’s card I used those flowers as “polka dots” instead.
Isn’t this card fun? it goes together super fast too.

What a GREAT weekend! Friday night was spent with Rich’s co-workers as we celebrated the last day of his company’s fiscal year. It’s a lot of work to put together a big party like that but it was worth it. He has some of the best guys on his team and they are a lot of fun to hang out with.
Saturday night we went to see Christina perform in “Beauty and the Beast” at our local community theatre. All I can say is…. well, nothing. I was speechless. This was the biggest and grandest production our theatre has ever put on and it just blew my expectations.
As you can imagine, the costumes for a show like “Beauty and the Beast” were not something that could be made in the shop but were rented from a professional company. They were glorious on the stage!
Here is Christina as a “Silly Girl” and the two of us being “silly girls”. The Silly Girls are the 3 girls who are ga-ga over Gaston and fawn over him constantly. They do a lot of screaming when they see Gaston, and a lot of crying when they learn their man is in love with Belle. Christina was an absolute HOOT in this show. She was also a “spinning plate” in “Be Our Guest”, the big show-stopper musical number in the show.
If you have ever seen the Broadway show, the beast is lifted in the air as he transforms into the prince. I wondered how they would do that on such a small stage but with lots of flashing lights and fog, it looked like he was floating. You can’t beat the magic of the theatre! Thunderous applause from the audience for that magical stage moment!
I am so proud to be associate with this theatre but this show set the bar so high. I guess that’s a good thing but not sure how anything we do from here can beat this amazing production.
