Are you ready for a new tutorial for MAKE IT MONDAY?  It’s called “You are the Greatest” and there is a story that goes along with the card. I was totally inspired by an ad I saw while scrolling through Pinterest.  I’m not interested in the tea necessarily but their packaging really caught my eye.

When I saw it, I immediately though of the new bundle Tropical Chic (page 121).  I grabbed some cardstock and started stamping.

I loved the pink lid and started to work that direction but it quickly changed… and I like the change!  I stamped the cardstock, cut it, layered it and created this fun look.

I had some fun stamping on the inside.  A few more stamps and then a stamped banner right across the center.

Do you like the colors?  Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Lovely Lipstick, and Mango Melody.  What do you think?

This past Friday was Friday the 13th.  I didn’t even realize it and honestly, it was a great day all day…. or so I thought.

On Saturday, Mr. Awesome and I were out running some errands and stopped to put gas in his truck but the gas pump wouldn’t take his credit card.  We didn’t think much of it except that the magnetic strip on his card was being flaky.  It’s happened before.  No big deal.  

My nephew and his wife were coming over later that night and we were going to order out pizza for us.  When I tried to order the pizza online, it declined our card again.

I hop over to our card account to see some charges that didn’t belong to us, starting on Friday, the 13th, to the tune of over $1,800.  My heart just sank.  Our card number must have been stolen and used to buy everything from clothes to tires to groceries.

What a mess!  I am SO grateful for my card company who saw charges in another state AND charges here at home at the same time and immediate shut our card off.  They were SUPER helpful and worked with me to get it resolved. They are even over-nighting new cards to us because we leave on vacation on Friday.  I am so impressed with their service and support.   I have a lot of clean up to do with this but it could be so much worst. 

I’m not a superstitious person at all but it is ironic it happened on Friday the 13th.
