I bought a stamparatus and it doesn’t work. I need to put at least 10 pieces of cardstock under the pad for the stamp to make contact with the paper. Can a second pad be purchased to raise the paper closer to the stamp?
Joan, are you using the foam pad that came with your Stamparatus? It’s designed to give you the height you need. When using Photopolymer stamps, you need that foam pad to give the height. If you are using a red rubber stamp, you remove the pad because the red rubber stamps have the padding built into the stamp. Hope that solved your problem. 🙂
I would love to see a tutorial where you make the last box you showed – the copy paper stack with the lid. Thanks!
Donna, I have a vide on that. Here you go! https://youtu.be/eK0Ml59kqAI
I would love to see the tutorial for the second slim line box or get the measurements please. Thanks Connie
You make boxes so easy to make! Thank you for another really helpful and clever video.
You are so creative, I wish you would show us a photo of lots of your boxes, so we get some ideas on how to decorate our perfect Connie boxes.
Janet, take a look at this blog post. There are 4 ideas here for you. Need more ideas? Search my site for “boxes” and you will find more. Hope that helps!
I remember when you showed us this trick years ago. The window sheet is a brilliant way to make the shim last forever.
BTW, I love the box you made for your scratch paper. Beautiful design and lovely stamping on it.
Thanks Fawn! I was such a great little tool and it was fun to create it with Sara.
I’ve said it before and say it again…. You are a genius! I don’t see where to download the measurements. Would you please tell me how to get the measurements for he shim and the boxes? Thank you.
Shim Measurements are window sheet cut 2″ x 8″ scored at 1/2″ & 1 1/4″ and then a piece of card stock cut 1″ x 8″ score at 1/2″. I added the measurements to the post should you need them again.
Love, love, love this.
Would like to make the boxes with the chocolate nuggets for a group of ladies as an Easter treat. I will need to make 16 of the boxes that size. Do you have a link where I can get those measurements?
Off to make my Connie shim now ;>)
You know, I thought I had but it was a different box. I’m pretty sure the measurements for that box are 4 ¼” x 7 ¾”.
How do you figure the measurements for your boxes? I didn’t quite understand what you were telling Sara.
Mary, happy to help.
Length + Depth + Depth = Measurement #1
Width + Depth + Depth = Measurement #2
Cut your (2) pieces of cardstock Measurement 1 x Measurement 2.
I hope that helps!
Hi Connie, look forward to all your videos. You’re such an inspiration for me and my SU business. Something I learned years ago when using a stylist and creasing card stock, if you take some wax paper and go over your sheet first it will crease without the resistance and will give you a sharper crease.
Susie, right? I have used that trick for years. It’s great, isn’t it? I don’t always remember to do it but it’s a great trick for smooth creases.
Connie, thank you for the e-mail welcoming me to your blog and for the lovely blank hand-stamped note card. I have watched you so often that I feel like you are a personal friend. Thank you for all the wonderful tips, card designs and great products. I would love to order more than I do, but I am 81 years young and on a fixed income. I really love my paper trimmer and everything I have been able to order.
May God bless you and your family.
Jenny
Jenny, I am so tickled to have you here! I look forward to sharing more stamping with you!
Love your boxes❣️ Love the note box❣️ I want to make a bunch for a group of ladies. We exchange gifts at Christmas and thought I’d get started ahead and not be rushed at the last minute. You know how that goes. For the note box you used the stamp “Stop forgetting all of the things”. Do you remember what stamp set is that stamp from?
Hi Sue! So glad you liked that project! I actually have a full tutorial of that project in particular. In the tutorial there is a file you can edit and I have lots of different sayings that will print out on the copy paper. There is a video that goes along with it as well. https://simplysimplestamping.com/shop/downloadable-tutorials/one-sheet-wonder/one-sheet-wonder-scratch-paper-holder/
Thanks Connie for such a quick response ☺️
Thanks for the info on the tutorial. I will be certain to check it out when I get to the part of printing the paper to jot your notes on. Great project❣️
