Connie, very very best to you with your surgery.
Can you tell me the dimensions of the cutting plates Or the largest recommended die?
Sending positive, healing thoughts…
The cutting plates measure 6″ x 8 ⅞”. Any die from Stampin’ Up will fit in the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss. If you have other dies, you would just want to be sure they can fit on the 6″ x 8 ⅞” plate. I hope this helps!
Great demo on the new cut and emboss machine. I have read in several posts that you absolutely cannot use the cutting plates from the previous Stampin Up Big Shot in this new machine — and that if you do use them and something happens to it, Stampin Up will not cover repairing it because instructions were not followed. Are you sure the information you gave is correct? I couldn’t find it on Stampin Up’s website.
Barbara, thank you so much for sharing this. I did confirm with Stampin’ Up that using other cutting plates can void the warranty. I sincerely apologize for my error. My other plates fit and went through the machine and I thought it was going to helpful to mention it but I wasn’t aware it could void the warranty. I have added a note to the blog post and to the video letting others know that this information was not correct. Thank you again for bringing it to my attention.
Hello Connie;
Question, I want to use my big shot to die cut water colour paper. I tried and trouble doing so. Is there a special method I can use to do this, like do I have to shim it or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don’t use watercolor paper a lot but you might try a shim of copy paper and see if that helps. If not, move up to a piece of cardstock.
