On my last Facebook Live I held an “interactive” stamping party and we created this One Sheet Wonder Designer Purse. It was a lot of fun to work right along with you. Well, because it was interactive, sharing the video was a little difficult so I have a new video for you today.
We are going OUT OF THE BOX today and I will be sharing how to create this adorable Designer Purse create with just one sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper or cardstock.
You can see that when this purse is open, you have a lot of space to add some candy, a gift card. Jewelry from Tiffany & Co. is always a good choice! Some people call this an explosion box or purse. Yep, that name suits it too!
It’s a really fun little project to create and once you’ve made one, worked the kinks out, you will find these to be SO easy and quick. The first time you create a project like this can be difficult so I would recommend that you use a piece of Designer Series Paper that isn’t your favorite or something that you don’t really need right now (Halloween or Christmas paper maybe).
When I get an idea from a fellow demonstrator, I always like to give them credit. The video I watched was a Facebook Live and I can’t find it again. I searched like crazy but I can’t find it again. I tried though so, Mystery Demonstrator, THANK YOU!!! I did tweak her measurements to make this a One Sheet Wonder project but I always appreciate demonstrators who share their ideas.
Here is what you need to create the One Sheet Wonder Designer Purse:
- Designer Series Paper or Cardstock – 12” x 12”, cut to 11 ¼” x 11 ¼” (save these pieces)
- Matching Cardstock – 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” – score and fold at 1” and 2” and 1” x 8 ¼”
- Whisper White or Very Vanilla – 3 ⅝” x 5 ⅝” (inside)
There is a written 11-page PDF tutorial available for this project too! CLICK HERE to order. All my diagrams, instructions, photos, etc. are here in a great tutorial that you can work from.
But how about an OUT OF THE BOX video!? Let’s go!
Hey, if you like One Sheet Wonder projects, check this out!
In tonight’s Facebook Live stamping event I will be sharing another One Sheet Wonder project — this adorable Scratch Paper Holder. It’s created with just one sheet of 8 ½” x 11″ cardstock. After you create the holder you can decorate any way you wish! I got so excited about this tonight’s Facebook Live, I made 4 of them! I even have custom scratch paper.

First night of rehearsal went GREAT! There are some amazingly talented people in this cast and I am truly honored to be a part of this. The music director, Sherri, is so patient with us. She goes through each part of the music with each group of singers (tenors, bass, alto, soprano). I love that! We practiced “Oklahoma” last night and the music was really difficult. I think there are 6 different harmonies going on in that song but thanks to Sherri, she made us sound wonderful…. and it was only the first night. WAHOO! Maybe I can do this after all!
SNOW DAY!!!!! Remember when you were a kid and you sat by the TV or radio PRAYING they would call our your school’s name for a snow day? Well, we had a significant ice storm come through yesterday afternoon and there is more coming in today. So, no school! YAY! I get to spend the day with Ginny!!!! She’s been so busy at rehearsals that I feel like I have barely seen her.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and I hope to see you tonight over on Facebook!
