Here are some simple measurements to help you:
- Vertical Card Base – 4 ¼” x 11″, score at 5 ½”
- Vertical Pop-Up Insert – 3 ⅞” x 10 ½”, score at 5 ¼”
- Horizontal Card Base – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
- Horizontal Pop-Up Insert – 5 ⅛” x 8″, score at 4″
- Sideways Card Base – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
- Sideways Pop-Up Insert – 5 ⅛” x 8″, score at 4″
Notes:
- To center the Pop-Up, cut the Pop-Up Inserts the same measurement on each side (i.e. ¾” to 1 ¼”) and always cut down 1″ – score in-between the cuts.
- If you want the image to sit higher or lower in your card, you can adjust the side to side measurement to fit your pop image.

I’ve always been intimated to try these pop ups and WOW! I did it and can’t stop making them. Your video was so great! Many thanks!!!
Love your videos.. Thank you. I’m trying to find the fun fold for the card that has writing down the edge, its green with purple and the lamb. I so appreciate it if you would send me the directions. Thank you.

Hope this helps!
I love this video and have tried it. It’s pretty easy once I got the hang of it but the problem I keep having is that EVERY paper I try it with cracks and tears on the crease. I even tried not scoring quite as heavily and it still cracked and tore. The other issue I have is when I glue one side of the pop out mechanism in place and then glue the other side the way you showed then I open the card and it doesn’t fit completely into the fold area and almost seems warped. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or the paper I use. I’ve tried several different types and weights of paper. I hate to keep buying paper trying to find one that works. Any suggestions for me? Thanks so much.
Sharon, there are some cardstocks on the market that just don’t crease well. It’s all about how much they tear down the fibers in the paper itself. I suggest that you score it on both sides to break the fibers on both sides of the score line. I hope that helps!
Thank you Connie. I’ll give that a try. Is there a brand of card stock you might recommend ?
I think the quality of Stampin’ Up cardstock is the best out there. I have used a lot of different brands but nothing compares to theirs. You can order it here from my site – https://bit.ly/39X0uk7
Thank you for your inspiration. Here is my link to the card I made (having to adjustments measurements slightly for Australian card) https://margaretlcrawford.blogspot.com/2022/03/fun-fold-card-and-more.html
