Oh, the sadness. I have always loved the Flower Patch stamp set and matching Flower Fair framelits. Don’t let this gorgeous set pass by before it’s gone forever!
I created this card back in 2014 and it has always been a favorite of mine. It’s a simple card but it sure packed a lot of WOW, even the NOW version!
The WOW card has some extra awesomeness to it. I love that gold sequin trim and a few extra layers!
This Now or WOW video was one of my more popular videos with over 32,000 views over the past 3 years so I wanted to share it again.
A couple of the colors I used are no longer available but not to worry. I have the alternative colors listed below.
To order any of the supplies you need, just click a pic!
Items in RED will retire on May 31, 2017
Don’t let the Flower Patch stamp set pass you by! Here are a couple other projects I created with this set!

I had a restless night sleep last night. Why? Well, I received a lot of backlash on yesterday’s 2-Minute Tuesday Tip video. Viewers commented that I was being deceptive because I didn’t show the actual “stamping” on the Stampin’ Up cardstock. One even accused me of stamping it twice to obtain that deep, rich image while others said the video was not credible. I was crushed to say the least.
My wonderful stamping friends…. I hope you know I would never do something deceptive on my videos. Creating a video with all the information in 2 minutes can be a challenge and I have to cut out the excess. I did cut out the part where I stamped on the Stampin’ Up cardstock but you’ve seen me stamp a thousand times. I had no idea it would upset people and cause them to think I was being deceptive. I considered re-shooting the video, but if I do, that means one less video for the week. Instead, I changed the video to “Unlisted” so that only my blog readers can view it. Instead of re-shooting it, I have a Flash Card video for you on Friday. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂
In closing, I want to apologize if anyone felt I was being sneaky, deceptive, or trying to pull one over on you. I love you all too much to do that! Thank you for letting me share my thoughts.
Use MAY HOST CODE QMMNXM4H on your order of the Eastern Palace bundle (Starter or Premier Bundle) and I have a the most fabulous gift for you! 24 tutorials using the products that come in the bundle. WOWZA!

I was SO with you yesterday when you said that all cardstock is not the same!
We go to Arizona for the winter and I (used to) shop at Hobby Lobby and Michaels (with their coupons…who doesn’t love a sale) for cardstock. How disappointing it was to see the finished project…definitely NOT the same as Stampin’ Up !!
I have spent my fair share on lousy cardstock. Never again!
Why people are cruel to generous people is beyond belief! Our society seems to be in a “funk” and I hope it ends soon. Stay strong, Connie.
I know, right? It’s time for the world to just be KIND to each other again.
I trust you! Those who don’t, probably don’t trust a lot of people. Try not to worry about it. Ask yourself, if it will matter a year from now. If the answer is no, then you should sleep better tonight.
Let it go, let it go……….come on people, get a life! This is something we do for fun!
We all trust you , forget the doubters!
You are a genuine , helpful, informative, sharing demonstrator!
One of the best!
I appreciate that so much Eileen!
I enjoy your videos they are positive , fun and spunky. I can’t believe how critical people can be. Don’t let it bug you.
I’m letting it go, Lisa. Thank you for your support!
Dear Connie – you are so full of integrity! There’s NO WAY you would or even could do something sneaky. I hope you can forgive those mean-spirited folks for your own sake – who wants to carry hurts and grief around. All your videos are excellent, and I for one look forward to them. I fact, I have a file of the video addresses of my favorites. Illegetimi non carborundum . (I think I quoted that right…)
Carole, you are so right. I can forgive them but I sure feel sorry for them. They have to tear others down in order to feel better about themselves. It’s sad really.
Connie, please know that you give us so much in help, creativity and excellence. Don’t second guess yourself. We love your short 2 minute videos. Jackie
Thanks so much Jackie!!!
All of that never entered my mind, Connie! I have always loved your videos and could never ever think anything evil like that about you…I consider my best friend and mentor in Stampin’ Up! gf! Hugs, and love this video, too…so awesome! <3
Aww, thank you so much!
I was shocked to read the response of some of your viewers about questioning your demo of showing stamping clarity on Stampin’Up! cardstock vs other cardstock. Some people need to get a life! Hang in there and just keep up with what you are doing. There is always going to be someone who tries to find fault. I am not one of them.
Pat, you’re the best! Thank you!
Connie,
I, too, can’t believe some people’s attitude. Good grief!!
As if you need to or would do something sneaky!!!
Do not worry about the opinions of people like that! We all love you and trust you! Besides all someone has to do is stamp on cheap card stock and then on Stampin’ Up card stock to see the difference for themselves.!!!! I’m so sorry that these mean-spirited people caused you a sleepless night and hurt feelings. Hang in there! You’re the BEST!
Crys, you are so sweet! Thank you!!
Those kind of comments usually come from people who actually do that! I, as so many others, appreciate your willingness to share so much!! And we are the majority, so don’t let that bad apple in the barrel effect you negatively, just pull it out and feed it to the pigs. LOL, oh, well, it sounded good when it was just a thought in my head. But it all comes down to THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Mary, you are so right. Typically the people who lack integrity are the first to throw stones at those who do.
You gotta be kidding me, people are so inconsiderate, dumb, selfish, narcissistic, etc. I can not believe they would actually makes those comments to you, well actually I guess I can believe it. If they didn’t appreciate your video, they could have clicked off and just not say anything. Could they do better? I for one enjoy your videos and have learned so many cool things and so many things to CASE. I must apologize as I don’t take the time to comment very much – that is me being selfish. I really appreciate all the work you do to make the videos, blog posts, etc. Thank you!!!
Chris, I agree 100%. Just click off if you don’t like it. Constructive criticism I can appreciate. Negative comments have no worth.
Why would they think something like that, it’s them not you.
Just let it go, and don’t loose any more sleep.
There are many more people who follow you and enjoy everything you post.
Have a good day!
Dianne, I know. It really is sad that some people have to throw stones.
I have always appreciated your zest for life, your family, and your vocation. Any lack of integrity would sap some of that zest, and lead you down a path where I know you would not want to go. So I never considered that you might be deceptive in your presentations. Even the fact that these adverse comments bothered you shows how you value being open and honest in all you do. So – as so many have said before me – consider these adverse responses, weigh them, and come to the conclusion that it is them, not you.
Sally, that means so much to me. Thank you!
Connie – so sorry that unkind and untrusting people made those comments about your video. We know you would never do that and appreciate all you do and share with us. I have learned so much from you, thank you! Please don’t lose anymore sleep over such nonsense.
Linda, thank you. And I took your advice and slept like a baby last night. 🙂
I have loved following you, been watching your videos for years. I probably have made more cards following you than any other demonstrator. Thank you for sharing your love for card making. I know you’d never try to deceive any of us.
Thank you Cathy. I appreciate that so much!
I am so sad that anyone would treat you so unfairly! How dare they question your integrity! I only know you through your blog and the wonderful videos you provide us every single week and I have always found you to be genuine, talented, creative, and full of life!
Please do not let those “Negative Nancys” control your thoughts! There are so many more of us that appreciate all you do and would never question your honesty!
Thank you Melinda! I appreciate you so much!
OMG. I’m so glad I didn’t read any of those comments. It breaks my heart when individuals don’t have a problem being negative and unjustly for that matter. I always enjoy your ideas and tips and will always enjoy your videos. Like previous comments made, let it go. You can move forward and know that we are the majority and support you.
I know. People think that being rude is acceptable or that they have the right to be hurtful because they can hide behind the social media wall. I wonder if these people would ever say the nasty things they say face-to-face. I wish the world could just go back to being kind to one another.
Some people live to shoot other people down. Ignore them and know that many of us love your tutorials. I have learned so much from you and continue to do so.
It’s true and I have always been able to let those negative comments roll off me but when someone questions my integrity? Well, now it’s personal and I think that is why I was so upset.
I can stand by what Connie says to the end! I have been stamping on Whisper White CS for nearly 20 years. It does exactly what she is claiming!!! It is a soft, smooth texture that takes the older linen pads ink beautifully, as well as the new foam pads ink. I believe it is the best thing I have ever tried. Those of you who have been harsh have obviously not stamped on this beautiful CS. Shame on you all for being so harsh to such a sincere and sweet lady like Connie.
Yep! I spent my fair share of $$ on worthless cardstock and it’s true…. Stampin’ Up Whisper White is just far superior than anything else I’ve used. 🙂 And I do want to clarify… the people who were being so nasty about it were on YouTube, not here on my blog. You guys are always kind and that is why I just love you guys. No Negative Nellies here! We love and support each other here.
Thanks so much for your videos! Two minutes is definitely not enough time to show every step all the time. I look forward to seeing what little nugget you have for us each Tuesday. You’re the best!
I appreciate you, Elaine!
Hello Connie: Oh my goodness!!! I’m so sorry some people made you feel so awful, how dare they accuse you of anything sneaky??!!!
My dear, please I wish I could take the hurt away, you are one of the most amazing, most generous crafters in the world of stamping, I can’t imagine anyone saying things like that to you.
I’ve also stamped on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and I can assure you, it gives me the same results as in your video.
Please Connie, let it go, it’s not worth you loosing anymore sleep over this, we all know how hard you work to inspire us, to teach us, to advise us, to help us, to motivate us every single day and for that, we are so grateful.
Sending lots of hugs.
Maria Rodriguez.
Slept like a baby last night 🙂 Thank you Maria!
Breathe in, breathe ou! Unfortunately there are individuals out there that prefer to be cruel and negative. The information you share with your stamping peeps has always been very educational , creative and inspiring. Don’t dwell on the negativity. You are fabulous! I am sure I speak for many when I say, “we love you, keep sharing your creative genius”.
Thank you Teresa. I just keep telling myself that I can please everyone all the time but I am so happy to have the support of my readers! Thank you!!!
Hi Connie! Did I miss something? Did I not see you stamp one image on each of the different card stocks? Anyhoo, try to let it go. You are an amazing talent whom I have been blessed to learn from and I think it is obvious that you would never even consider doing anything questionable. From the responses before me, you can tell you have a supportive fan base out here. Please continue to teach and inspire us all!
I did but to save time on the video I cut out the part where I stamped on the Stampin’ Up cardstock. I was trying to fit everything in a 2-minute time frame. I am so glad to have the support from you all!!!
Hi Connie, I am so sorry that you were made to feel like that. I have used various types of card stock and they are all different in how the stamp comes out. Stamping Up card stock is definitely the best to use. As we say in England, keep your chin up. xx
I agree Caron! It’s the best!
Please know that those of us who follow your blog love and appreciate everything you do more than you can possibly know. You bring positivity into the world – ignore those who don’t. Too bad those awful people don’t spend more time spreading kindness. Thank you so much for everything.
I appreciate that Carolyn!
Connie: Your 2-minute tip videos are wonderful. Don’t let the turkeys get you down. THS
Thanks Virginia! I am letting it go! 🙂
OMG! I can’t believe how people can be so stupid, it never entered my mind to think you would do something like that. We all know you well enough Connie to know you are true to your word. I love your videos, you have taught me so much, keep them coming. I hope you sleep well at night now!
Thank you Lynn!!! I really appreciate that!
Lynn It’s the TROLLS. They do this just to get people upset. I have even had a couple of them post on my FB page.
Connie, just ignore them. We all know you better than that. The thought NEVER entered my mind.. Beside anybody that stamps will know that if you stamp on linen like paper you are going to have spaces not inked verses stamping on smooth paper. Just plain old common sense! I just used the textured paper for my card bases. Love you Connie and thanks for all that you do for all of us!!!
For anyone who has done any kind of live demo, or taught others how to (retired Home Ec teacher here, Adv. Nutrition and Foods), you decide as you plan your demo what to do as complete steps, what steps you may simply talk about, and what steps you will do ahead of time. Love love love all of your tutorials and the great decisions you make in all 3 areas. For long time followers, this is not the first time you have shared your experience of office supply vs. SU cardstock. Thank you for all you do for us:)
You are 100% accurate! In fact, in the raw footage of my video, obviously I stamp on the Stampin’ Up cardstock, but I wasn’t talking or anything, just stamping, so that I could show the finished product. I find it funny that they thought I was being deceptive because I didn’t “show” myself stamping. Why not just accuse me of not really using Stampin’ Up cardstock? lol Let’s face it, I could have been using anything. I wasn’t, of course, but my point is, well, I think you see my point. Thanks for backing me up, Trish!
Connie, I never read any of those comments and am so glad. I would have been upset myself to see them and know someone was attacking you in that way! How terribly sad you had to endure that, and anyone that has followed you knows how completely untrue those accusations are. You’re wonderful, absolutely wonderful! I have followed your blog for years now, and not others though there are plenty out there, why? Because I follow you for your personality, the sunshine and light you bring to your videos, the fun tips, the frugal tips, your honesty in the hey we’re all human but let’s just be creative, grateful and supportive…and for your recipes too lol…You’re a special lady and certainly anyone who would insult your integrity knows nothing of you at all or they wouldn’t have done so. Shame on them. It’s hard to let the negativity deflect off of us sometimes, even when we know we should. Wishing you hadn’t been hurt so but glad to see you’re moving past it. Hugs from your family is no doubt good medicine as well. Always looking forward to your posts, take care….
DB, you are so kind. Thank you so much for being a faithful follower! I love knowing that you are inspired by what you see here!
Geez people…you have to be one of the best demonstrator, I look forward to all your videos. You have too many people like me who appreciate all that you do.
God Bless!
Kathy, you are a doll! Thank you!!!
Looks like you have gotten a lot of support over your video, but I just wanted to add my own, please don’t let those people get you down, there are a lot of “haters” out there these days and I wouldn’t pay any attention to them. I liked you video, and there is a big difference in good quality cardstock and the cheaper cardstock. Hope you are having a better day today!!!!
So sorry that some took that view – they obviously dont know you very well.
Who are these hurtful people?!?! I’m ready to break legs! Smash kneecaps!! Ban them from learning and enjoying your talents forever!
Ok. It’s out of my system now. Guess it’s time to forgive. Funny about forgiveness– always goes to those who don’t deserve. Praise God forgiving me and never giving me what I truly deserve.
Love you, Connie. ?
Connie, I appreciate all the time, effort, work and research you and other demonstrators put into making enjoyable videos that teach and guide us in paper crafting. It is no small feat. Thank you so muchfor what you do for us.
You are so sweet KJ, thank you so much!
I love following you because your videos are fun and easy to follow. I like that they are to the point. Many people have videos that are way to long and who needs to see you stamp everything or cut everything. I appreciate that you keep focused and get the work done! So sorry that some feel the need to post negative comments.
Janice, thank you. That is how I feel about videos too. I want to see videos that get to the point so that is how I do my videos as well. I’m thrilled that you enjoy them!
i enjoy your video tips and I don’t think you did any think wrong! I have used different paper and I have seen the quality of my stamping on other cardstocks. ?
