You are going to love today’s super cool tip when working with Stampin’ Blends. I discovered it quite by mistake but boy am I glad I did because it made SUCH a difference on today’s card. I hope this tip helps you too!

Here you can see what a difference that overlay of another stamped image can make. You choose whether or not your want first or second generation ink on top — it’s all about deciding how dark you want that second layer. Don’t you think this is a cool Stampin’ Blends tip?!

Today is another milestone day — Last week Christina started back teaching high school drama and today Ginny moves back to campus at the University of Oklahoma. Yep, she is ready to begin her Sophomore year. Bless her heart, her Freshman year didn’t go as planned due to Covid. Sophomore year will be very different too. Some classes will be online while other classes have been spread out to allow time to disinfect each room in-between students. This means classes go later into the day. Her first ‘in-person’ class doesn’t happen until 3pm and some go past 6pm. It will be an adjustment but talk about preparing kids for the future. It is good for them to learn how to deal with obstacles that come your way. I guess we are all learning that lesson this year.

This year will be a lot of fun for her because she is no longer in the Freshman dorms (those TINY little dorms). She is in an on-campus apartment with a new roommate. They have chatted a lot but have never met so it will be another new beginning for both of them.

Ginny spent her summer learning to cook. Mr. Awesome taught her everything he knows. Cooking isn’t something I’m great at and he loves to cook so that worked out well, otherwise she might have to live on Mac-n-Cheese. 😆  We all had a lot of fun shopping for all the things she will need in her new kitchen. Her favorite is her Instant Pot/Air Fryer. She has been making all sorts of yummy meals in it and testing them out on us (so far, we have loved them all). She even made her own cookbook and each recipe has a price on it so she can budget wisely (I am one proud Mom that she is learning that lesson!)

So, this morning, we are heading out to breakfast and then we pack up the truck for Ginny’s new adventure. Lucky me, I get to stay home because they are only allowing one parent to help and they can’t even walk in the building so Rich will be able to get her things to the door and that’s it. She will be on her own to put things away and organize. I guess we get to live through pictures this year.
