Happy Friday my stampin’ friends!  Are you ready for a Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge?  This one is very different but it’s really quite fun to create with.

Some things to remember about the challenge….

• The colors mean nothing –get creative!
• The circle can be anything – a flower, a square or oval, a sentiment, you name it!  
• That border could be a stamped image, Designer Series Paper, or an embossed image

So, your challenge is to create something with this layout and then mail it to a friend!  What good is a card that you keep to yourself?

Birthday cards!  I love birthday cards!  This one uses one of my favorite bundles in the Occasions catalog – Cool Treats.  

There is just something about ice cream that makes me happy and this bundle makes me very happy.  I love the whimsical look of it.

Okay, let’s talk GORGEOUS for a minute…isn’t this card stunning?  The So In Love bundle has this delicate designed thinlit in it.  It’s meant for a belly band around a card but it fit perfectly for this weekend’s sketch.

Cards are never complete without Stampin’ Dimensionals either.  A quick pop and this card is ready to send.

Happy birthday to ME!!!!  My birthday present came early!!!  I have wanted a fire pit for my back patio for the last year.  Mr. Awesome wasn’t picking up the hint so I ordered my own last week.  (Please tell me I am not the only one who has to order their own presents.)  My fire pit wasn’t expected for another week according to the website but there was a knock on my door and this HUGE box was sitting there!  It weighed about a million pounds.  Maybe a million and one.  I decided to leave it there knowing NO ONE could steal this off my porch.

Mr. Awesome came home early to put it together so we could use it right away.  I had been reading reviews on different fire pits and how hard they were to put together.  Imagine our surprise when this one came straight out of the box looking like this.  No assembly!  YAY!  We just poured in the lava rocks and turned it on.  Last night, we turned on some music, started up the fire, and enjoyed a nice night with a warm fire.  I am ONE happy camper right now!

Oh, and I just have to brag about my great deal.  I saw this fire pit on a website for $788.  OUCH!  Way out of my price range.  Did some digging and found the same one (just a lighter tile on top) for $220.  WAHOO!!!  I love bargain hunting!  It’s a girl thing.  It’s all about the hunt for the good deal and the best price and when you find it, you feel you have conquered the world of retail.
