In just 5 minutes – yes, that’s shorter than my coffee break – you’ll have a card base ready for decorating!
Today I’m sharing not one, but TWO ways to rock this design. First up, we’re channeling serene lake vibes with the Charming Duck Pond stamp set and Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper. Picture this: a friendship card so peaceful, those little ducks might just take a nap right there on your paper! Then, we’re switching gears to party mode with the Keeping Tabs stamp set and Wildflower Birthday DSP, creating a birthday card that’s basically a paper party in a box.
Once you see how quickly this three-dimensional masterpiece comes together, you’ll be making these cards faster than you can say, ‘Where did I put my adhesive?’ (Spoiler alert: it’s probably under that pile of pretty paper you’ve been saving for a special occasion).

Ready to Create these Standing Box Cards?
When the card base can go together so quickly, this card is a must try! One sheet of 8 ½” x 11″ will create the card and the box. The possibilities of what you can add to the front of the box is a wide as your imagination! You can add a stamped image or how about embossed cardstock on the box panel?
- Granny Apple Green:
- 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score at 4 ¼” (card)
- 8 ¼” x 5 ½” and score at ½”, 1 ¼”, 2”, and 2 ¾” on each end (card box)
- DSP:
- 2 ¾” x 5 ½” (box front)
- (2) ½” x 5 ½” (side strips)
- Basic White:
- 2” x 3” (circle greeting)
- 4” x 5 ¼” (inside layer)
- Flirty Flamingo: 2” Circle Punch
- Pool Party:
- 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score at 4 ¼” (card)
- 8 ¼” x 5 ½” and score at ½”, 1 ¼”, 2”, and 2 ¾” on each end (card box)
