Today, Ginny has a very special Stylish Christmas Flash Card to share with you! At the beginning of the month, I shared a little bit about the Special Olympics musical production “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at Moore High School and how you could be a part of it. This program means a lot in this family. Ginny came up with this idea and… well, let me have her share all about in a video. She tells it better than I could write it and she will share how you can be a part of what these kids do.
Stay tuned for the end! Ginny will share more about the Special Olympics program but first, a very special FLASH CARD video….
This is just one of the cards that will be a part of the tutorial. I think Ginny did a really great job sharing it!
- Shaded Spruce – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored and folded at 4 ¼”
- Cherry Cobbler Flash Card – 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”
- Vanilla Flash Card – 2 ½” x 4″
- Very Vanilla (inside layer) – 4″ x 5 ¼”
- Gold/Vanilla Metallic Edge Ribbon – small knot
I would love for you to recreate today’s Stylish Christmas flashcard. It’s quick, simple, and the DistINKtive© stamp has all the shading built into it making this card so easy to make. Want to order any of the stamps or accessories needed to make the Flash Card? Just click a pic to order!

So, we filmed this video on Monday because yesterday Ginny had surgery on her jaw….finally.
It was a very long day for Ginny (and for me, as well). We had to be at the surgical center at 9am and the office is 45 minutes away. The surgeon basically removed the fluid that had built up in the cartilage (this is what was keeping her jaw from going back into place). Guys, I don’t even want to talk about how much fluid was in this poor girl’s jaw. No wonder she was dislocated! She did really well and she is SUCH a strong kid! She was pretty loopy when she came out of anesthesia and just giggled and giggled and giggled, in-between crying but she had no idea why she was crying. I was trying hard not to laugh because she was pretty out of it and not making a lot of sense.
Immediately following the surgery, we had to go WAY to the other side of town for therapy (about an hour and a half away). Another hour home and then Ginny spent the rest of the day in bed, sleeping it off, which was good. She will be on an all liquid diet for the next week. The good news is that Ginny LOVES soup, especially in the Fall, so she’s okay with that. How many different kinds of soup can I make over the next week, I wonder?
I’m glad the day is over. I mean, is there anything worse for a mom than to watch her child go through something painful? I needed a Novocain shot for the pain in my heart, knowing what she had to go through. I would give anything to have traded places with her. Her school is on Fall break starting today so the timing of her surgery was perfect. She can take the next 4 days to recover and be back at school on Monday.
Thank you SO MUCH for your prayers and sweet comments! I can’t tell you how much Ginny and I both appreciated them!!!!
Can I just take a moment to say how PROUD I am of this girl? She has the biggest heart I have ever seen and when I watch her work with her special friends, I am beaming inside. Ginny has more love in her heart than she can contain and it just has to pour out of her and onto others. What a wonderful gift she is!!!
Thank you for letting my girl share today. It was nice to pass the camera off to Ginny and let her share this card with you.
Have a wonderful day my friends and I will see you tomorrow for a new Creative Juice sketch!
