It’s been a very exciting week here in the Stewart house!
On Friday, Christina filled out the paperwork to be the new drama teacher at Shawnee High School. She is super excited to start teaching theatre and she is so connected with this community from her time working in the theatre there. It was a perfect fit! She doesn’t start until August but that gives her time to start working on lesson plans.
Ginny had a lot of excitement too. The head of the chorus department at Oklahoma University (OU) came to her school a couple of weeks ago and he was very impressed with the special needs program Ginny started at her school. He has been pushing REALLY hard for her to come to OU. He invited Ginny to come and observe some classes on Friday. Even though auditions were over in March, he is setting up a special audition for her this week. In talking with Ginny’s high school choir teacher, it sounds like there might be a very nice scholarship in her future. Hmmmm, this could be interesting! She wasn’t thinking about OU but it seems like God may be opening up some opportunities for her that she never thought about.
She was also asked to be an intern at Kristen Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp this summer. You may remember she attended the last 2 years and LOVED it. Earning an internship to work at the camp is a very coveted spot and to say she was excited for the invitation is an understatement. Looks like the Stewarts are spending another 12 days in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma this summer!
Saturday night, we had our final performance of “Noises Off” and the entire run of the show was a huge success for the theatre. Sunday afternoon, we tore down the set, cleaned up the make-up room, and bid farewell to my theatre family. I know I will see them all again in future shows and doing a show like this does mean you get close to the other cast members. I’m not going to lie, I was ready to be done with the show, but only because I was ready to have my evenings home again. I missed Mr. Awesome and just relaxing every night.
Yep, a very exciting weekend indeed!

for the wonderful talents you have for making others happy.
So glad you liked the junk mail flowers. Thank you for the sweet comments about the girls. It’s been such a great week!
This is a great idea. I suppose one could use these punches with regular card stock to also create 3-D flowers? Or is there a better way to create paper flowers from card stock?
You absolutely could use regular card stock! Give it a try!!
Thank you.
