Happy Wednesday my friends! Today I have a wonderful suite of products to showcase – the Wood Textures Suite. You can see all the beautiful products in this suite on page 158-159 of the new catalog.
I know you guys struggle with masculine stamping like me. This suite is awesome because it fits the guys to a “T”.
I think the first thing that grabbed my attention about this suite was the Designer Series Paper Stack.
I absolutely LOVE this paper and the realistic look it has. You can use the full sheet, you can use little bits, you can die cut pieces from it.
I also love how the Wood Crate Framelits are used with this Designer Paper for a true “wood crate” appearance.
The additional dies that come with the Wood Crate Framelits coordinate with the stamp set. See?
The little label framelit works perfectly for all (4) of the decorative sentiments. Love how this all coordinates!
Stampin’ Up has a great video on how this suite works together. Let me share that with you…
I personally purchased the Wood Crate Framelits and the paper so I just need to add that sweet stamp set to my next order. Had I been smart, I would have ordered the bundle. I thought I didn’t need the stamp set. Darn it. Should have known that I would fall in love with it and I could have saved 10%. Live and learn, right?
One more sample to share.
Is this not the cutest thing ever??? So adorable!
Be sure to add this new bundle to your next order. It’s a wonderful collection of stamps, framelits, and don’t forget about that wonderful Wood Textures Designer Paper!
* Also available in Wood Mount
Nostalgia alert! Does this look familiar to anyone? Growing up, we had a Hi-Fi Stereo in our living room that was very similar to this one. I remember listening to “Honey Bun” from “South Pacific” on that stereo. I had no idea what the show was about but I loved that song.
Ginny had been saying for a while she wanted a record player for her birthday. I thought she was joking but turns out, she really truly wanted one. Amazon to the rescue! Wait, let me rephrase that. Amazon to the rescue IF Mom remembers to actually hit the “Submit’ button. Ugh. I was wondering why I hadn’t gotten a shipment notification yet. Yesterday the record player came and she was one happy girl.
The reason for me sharing this story was that Christina knew where all my old records were stored – in the garage. What was I thinking? I thought for sure they would all be warped but they were packed in the box really tight and were in great shape. I had more fun going through those old records!!! The one I was most excited about was “The Sound of Music” – my parent’s record that ended up in my collection, along with their “South Pacific” record too. As you know, we love Broadway musicals and I totally forgot all the records I had. A Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, Bye Bye Birdie and Little Shop of Horrors. My favorites were the Beach Boys Endless Summer and American Graffiti. I wore those records out when I was a teenager.
Isn’t it funny how what is old is new again? The scratchy sound from those old records isn’t something you want…. but now a days, you do. You can imagine how happy Ginny was with her birthday present… even if it was late.
I hope that you all enjoyed this peek into the Wood Textured Suite! I am feeling the need to go create a crate now!
Hope that you guys have a fabulous Wednesday and I will see you tomorrow for a new TEACH ME THAT tutorial featuring the Emboss Resist technique! See ya then!
Use the JUNE HOST CODE 7GAJZGZV on your order of $20* or more and I will email you 15 BRAND NEW TUTORIALS featuring new stamp sets and accessories! It’s a fabulous collection that you will most definitely want in your collection!
I did get this suite! BUT I need to know how to make those carrots in the crate! Do you know how? If so, please share! Thank you!
I too was wondering about how to make the carrots, please let know, okay ?
I would love to know how to make the carrots also. How cute!!! And I loved the story about the vinyl records that you still have. I still have my Mom’s old record player and lots of those records also. What fun!!!!
Wow, you have some great records. My cousins in India had a record player and they had Sound of Music and a lot of Abba albums. Since I stayed with them, I was exposed to all this music and my favorite thing to do when the weekend came was to listen to them. I’ve been pestering my husband for a record player and hoping my cousins will part with their collection.
Please tell me if this set is still available- Feb 2019. Would love to have it.
I’m sorry Merry, I’m just now seeing this because for some reason it went to the spam folder. Yes!!! All of these items are still available. You can go to the blog post and scroll to the products section and click on them to purchase whatever you need.
