Hello my friends! How are you? I hope your weekend was amazing. I know a lot of areas around the USA saw snow this weekend so I would guess that those friends stayed indoors to stamp. Were you one of them? I want to share a fun card with you today for MAKE IT MONDAY. This is the Lemon Zest bundle and my Live Life with Zest card. It’s such a bright and fun card, don’t you think?
This has always been a favorite bundle of mine. I don’t know what it is about fruit stamps but they always a favorite for me.
This card just makes me think of summer time!
Not able to create today? Why not create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY? Or, you can always search the Categories (right side bar) and click on Make It Monday and you will see all of them.
Here’s what you’ll need to create the LIVE LIFE WITH ZEST. Use what you have, order what you need. Just click a pic!
What a week it was last week! My friend Jackie, a fellow Stampin’ Up demonstrator, came to visit and stamp with me this past week. We had a fabulous time, we really did! On Friday we hopped on a train to Fort Worth, Texas to attend the Stampin’ Up conference together. Wow, was THAT fun! I met a ton of new demonstrators, lots of hugging going on there. It was amazing to hang out with about 600 of my demonstrator friends for a couple of days.
Jackie and I met our friend Sharon there and we got a fun little loft-style hotel room. We stayed up way too late, ate way too much yummy food (boy, Texas has some great food!), and did what girlfriends do when they are together…. talked… a lot!
Like every conference I go to, I have to admit my favorite part was seeing the NEW 2018-2019 Annual catalog… the BIG catalog. You guys are in for SUCH a treat! I’m not allowed to say anything YET but there are some exciting NEW things coming your way. Stay tuned and I promise I will share as soon as I can.
It was so crazy last week I didn’t get a chance to update you on our teacher’s strike here in Oklahoma. I know I said it before, but THANK YOU for all your sweet comments regarding this serious issue. You warmed my heart so much. It was super cold that day but we bundled up, along with 36,000 other teachers and parents. Oh, this is priceless. One senator said ON CAMERA that he didn’t think that those people picketing were all teachers but the teachers HIRED ACTORS from Chicago to come picket for them. Is that a HOOT? What a ridiculous statement!
The teachers are still on strike today so no school for another day. This will be Day 6 but it is my prayer the legislators will WAKE UP and do their job and get our kids back to school. I am so proud of our teachers for standing up for our kids. Let’s hope those knuckle heads in the state capital will take notice. We are praying for a change!
Thanks so much for being here today. Today will be a “catch up day”. You know how it is when you’ve been gone or had company.
It’s going to be a GREAT week here in our house! I hope that you make it a great week in your house too. Love to each of you!!!!

May God bless you for standing up with the teachers!!! Teachers should be making what the NFL pays those spoiled brat players.
Much luck to the teachers! Obviously the senator recognized you and your daughter from the stage, but I can’t explain the Chicago connection. Who am I kidding? I can’t explain most of what our elected officials say, mean or do!
Not really SU related but thank you for taking Amtrak to On Stage! I’m a retired Amtrak Reservations Agent and I love it when I hear of people helping to keep train travel alive. I haven’t been on the route you took – YET – but planning to one of these days.
We LOVED taking the train! So much leg room, a great view, a bar car with snacks and coffee. What’s not to love?
