Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. Whether you spent it with your kids or with your Mom, I hope that it was extra special.
Today I have a beautiful and FUN Make-It Monday project for you. It uses a great technique called the Baby Wipe technique. It’s a technique that has been out for a long time but I never grow old of it.
Don’t you love that fun tie-dye look of this card?

Here’s an idea….create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY so you can always find the downloads whenever you need them. Or, you can always search the Categories (left side bar) and click on Make It Monday. You will see all of them in one place.
Here’s a list of the items I used on the Your Birthday Card. If you would like to order any of the items I used, just click a link!
I had an absolutely marvelous weekend! It was busy but tons of fun. I spent most of the day with my girls at auditions for “9 to 5: The Musical”. Is that color great on them? They looked amazing!
The audition started with the dance audition. Ummm, well, let’s just say that I am a better stamper than I am a dancer. Talk about feeling like a fish out of water. Lucky for me the character I was going out for doesn’t do a lot of dancing. The choreographer is a gal I worked with in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” so it helped that she was very willing to take it slow with me. Love that girl! Christina and Ginny rocked the dance part and I was really proud.
So, can I just brag on my girls for a minute? Ginny is only 14 and she hoping to get in the chorus. She’s young, she knows it, but after her vocal audition the director said, “Why do you have to be so young? Your voice is amazing! The stage had better watch out for you!” She really needed to hear that a compliment like that. She knows that her chances aren’t as high to get in the show because of her age but knowing that director really liked her made her day.
Christina auditioned for the role of Judy (in the movie this was Jane Fonda’s character). She has this HUGE song to sing at the end of the play and I mean HUGE. It’s what they call a belting song….and can Christina belt out that song! I was so proud of her.
Me? Well, I totally botched my audition song. LOL Leave it to me! I have never sang with an accompanist before and she didn’t know the song I was singing. We were both struggling – she was trying to keep up with me and I was trying to slow down for her. Yeah, that didn’t work very well. The accompanist was GREAT, don’t get me wrong, but it was hard to do. I think I did better on the vocal auditions where I sang songs from the show so hopefully that will help. The director had me read and sing for Violet (Lilly Tomlin’s character). I really don’t get WHY he wasn’t interested in me as Dolly Parton’s character??? LOL (that’s a joke people)
Mr. Awesome also got me a great Mother’s Day gift….a road bike. Rich really loves to ride and there is a small lake just seconds from our house. He had been wanting me to go with him and I just don’t have the leg power that he has. He has said he will take it easy as I get the hang of it but this will be a fun alternative to walking, which we do every morning and every night.
Notice the color???? Yep, I just HAD to get it in Tiffany Blue <wink> but they didn’t have it in stock so it should be arriving at the bike shop today. They will fit the bike to my height and stuff, fit me for a helmet, and teach me how to use this thing. There are so many gears on this, I have no idea what they all do. Luckily for me, Mr. Awesome knows. It supposed to pour down rain today so I will have to wait to take it out for a test drive.
So, that was my weekend! I hope yours was equally wonderful! Have a great Monday everyone! I will be back tomorrow with a 2-Minute Tuesday Tip video!

So glad you had such a nice Mother’s Day. I did too. My oldest daughter drove 3 1/2 hours from her home to share the weekend with her Mom (and Dad). We had a great weekend and super Mother’s Day. My son lives 4 hours away and youngest daughter leaves 14 hours away so we just visited on the phone. That was good too.
Sorry this comment is a little late but I was sick yesterday and didn’t go near my computer. I absolutely loved the birthday card you made. I loved the the colors of the back ground swirls. What a great look and it looks so easy. I will definitely try this. Thanks.
I hope all three of you make it into the show! Love the mixed colors in the background of the card! LOVE the Tiffany blue bike. Hope you can find a Tiffany blue bike helmet to go with it!!
