I’m excited about this brand new feature for December here at Simply Simple Stamping! I call it the Double Feature. What is it? Whenever possible I will share with you a Christmas card or project but will also create a ‘non-Christmas’ version. This will allow you to use the idea even if you have completed your Christmas projects for this holiday season. Are you excited? I hope so! I am looking forward to create DOUBLE the fun in December!
For today’s Make It Monday, I have 2 cards that are the same but totally different themes. My first card is a gorgeous deep cherry poinsettia card. I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out!

I thought the poinsettia card turned out so nice. I do hope you like it. It was fun to use the Eastern Medallion thinlits in a totally different way.
My Christmas sentiment is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set but any of your Christmas sentiments will work. It’s the die cut poinsettia that makes this card a WOW!
I think both cards are very pretty!

It was a busy theatre week for us! We had Ginny’s special program on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday night we attended “Noises Off” at Oklahoma City University. Christina was the Assistant Director for this show. It was an awesome opportunity for her to work with a professional director. The show was absolutely hilarious and VERY well done. OCU is a theatre school so I knew it would be great. I was really proud of Christina and all her hard work on the show.
Funny story…. while she was working beside him, his phone buzzed. Without thinking, Christina glanced over it at and the name on the phone said “BEN PLATT”. Dan the director just click “decline”. Christina looks at him and said, “Did you seriously just decline a call from Ben Platt?” He says, “Yeah. I can call him later. I was his high school drama teacher.” (Note: Ben Platt was a Tony winner this year for “Dear Evan Hansen”)
Then on Saturday, one more show to squeeze in. Rich and I have season tickets to the community theatre we perform at and we went to see “Almost, Maine” – a really awesome show that is really 9 mini shows in one. It’s about love… and the loss of love. It was directed by my good friend Rebecca and she did an outstanding job!
Sunday (yes, there’s more) it was time for Ginny’s Christmas recital. We enjoyed hearing all the kids but listening to Ginny belt out “Santa Baby” was just the best!
December is always so crazy busy but I am happy as I look ahead to the coming week that it is nice and quiet. Yay!
