Paper scrap card ideas are about to become your new obsession because who doesn’t love getting double the bang for their crafting buck? If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a delightful mountain of paper scraps just begging to be transformed into something fabulous, and today we’re doing exactly that with two completely different birthday cards using the exact same supplies. It’s like magic, but with more glue and significantly less rabbits pulling from hats – though the “ta-da!” moment when you see both finished cards is just as satisfying.

Ready to Create these Paper Scrap Cards?
I shared my tip about cutting 10 pieces of 8 ½” x 11″ Basic White cardstock into (4) 4″ x 5 ¼” pieces to have on hand when I need them for the inside of my cards. This always leaves me with ½” x 11″ strips and those strips are perfect for creating this card. No more tossing away those pesky strips of cardstock!
- Summer Splash:
- 8 ½” x 11”, score at 4 ¼”
- Cut card into (2) 8 ½” x 5 ½” card bases
- Score (1) of them at 1 ¾”
- 2” x 2 ½” (leaves/stem)
- 8 ½” x 11”, score at 4 ¼”
- Berry Burst:
- 4” x 5 ¼” (layer/banner/flowers)
- 2 ¼” x 5 ¼” (side layer card 2)
- Basic White:
- (6) ½” x 11” strips
- (2) 4” x 5 ¼” (insides for card 1 & 2)
- 3” x 3 ½” (greeting card 1)
- 2” x 1 ¼” (greeting card 2)
- Copy Paper: 4 ¼” x 5 ½” (card 1)
