If you’ve ever made a gate fold card and thought, “Well… now how do I keep this thing closed?” you’re not alone. Belly bands work. They’re loyal. They do their job. But sometimes we want something that feels a little smarter.
Today’s project is a gate fold card with sliding lock closure, and it solves the problem beautifully. It slides into place. It stays put. And when someone opens it for the first time, there’s that tiny pause, the good kind, where they realize this isn’t your average fold.
The best part? It looks impressive without requiring advanced paper engineering. The closure is built right into the design, so there’s no separate belly band to wrestle back into place. Just a simple sliding lock that keeps everything neat and secure.
